Aisot Technologies, a Zurich-based startup that uses AI to help institutional investors manage and understand their investment portfolios, has raised €2.13 million (CHF 2 million) in a Seed extension funding round.

The funding came from both existing and new investors, including family offices and experienced angel investors. Felix Haldner, a former Partner at Partners Group and former President of the Swiss Funds & Asset Management Association (SFAMA), also joined the round as a new investor.

“The fact that our existing investors continue to expand their trust, while we’ve also gained experienced figures like Felix Haldner as new supporters, confirms we’re on the right path. We want to help wealth managers in Switzerland and internationally to integrate AI into their investment processes in a way that is well-founded, transparent and impactful,” said Stefan Klauser, co-founder and CEO of Aisot Technologies.

Founded in 2021 as an official ETH Zurich spin-off, Aisot provides AI-powered solutions for portfolio optimisation and risk management. Its services are designed for asset managers, wealth managers and family offices.

The company combines financial analysis, machine learning and AI-based news sentiment analysis to create forecasting and decision-making tools for investment firms.

Aisot’s platform helps large asset managers find additional investment signals. It also gives smaller investment firms access to professional data, AI tools and quantitative technology without requiring them to build and manage these systems themselves.

The company says its AI provides data-driven support throughout the investment process, including strategy development, backtesting, portfolio rebalancing, optimisation and ongoing monitoring.

“We are convinced that Aisot’s solutions can generate significant efficiency gains for asset and wealth managers, including in analysis, portfolio management and product development. Aisot Technologies’ models also deliver signals across different investment strategies, with the aim of contributing to return optimisation,” said Felix Haldner.

In March 2023, Aisot announced that it had raised €1.91 million (CHF 1.8 million) in a Seed funding round led by Haute Capital Partners. Earlier, in March 2021, the company raised €246,900 ($285,000) in a pre-Seed round led by F10, a Zurich-based startup incubator and accelerator. The round also received support from family and friends investors.

Aisot has partners and employees across Europe, Asia and the US. Its team includes experienced professionals in artificial intelligence, natural language processing and financial mathematics.
