AMDB Security Pro Raises €2.68 Million to Expand Its Anti-Theft Solutions in the US
AMDB Security Pro, a Lyon-based engineering company in France, has raised €2.68 million (around $3.1 million) in a Seed funding round.
The company develops mechanical anti-theft systems for excavators and mini-excavators. The latest funding was provided by two private investors from the United States.
AMDB Security Pro plans to use the funding to grow its business in the US. The company will establish a local subsidiary and build partnerships with businesses in the market.
It will also continue investing in research and development (R&D) to develop anti-theft solutions for other types of construction equipment.
“Closing this round marks a defining step for AMDB Security Pro as we prepare our establishment in the United States. This investment lets us build our U.S. operations, deepen our relationships with rental companies, insurers, and equipment manufacturers, and keep advancing our technology into new equipment categories,” said Pascal Oltra, co-founder of AMDB Security Pro.
AMDB Security Pro was founded by Pascal Oltra and Kevin Kaarouche. The company says it has developed the first mechanical anti-theft system made in France for excavators and mini-excavators.
The company’s patented system is designed to prevent tampering and stop unauthorised people from starting or using construction equipment.
The anti-theft device is built to work in demanding construction environments, where heavy machinery can be at risk of theft and unauthorised use.
AMDB Security Pro says construction equipment theft is a serious and costly problem in the US. Rather than focusing on recovering stolen machines, the company aims to prevent theft before it happens.
